After Care Instructions

  • Keep the second skin for 1-2 days for fine-line tattoos or 4-5 days for realism or colour tattoos.

  • When removing the second skin, gently pull towards the outside letting the air in. Do not pull fast towards the tattoo, as you may remove scabs and irritate your skin. If you want to do it under running water, make sure it is not hot. Hot water will make the glue stick to your skin. Make sure your hands are clean before removing the second skin.

  • If ever the second skin doesn’t hold or is pierced , remove it immediately. This is very dangerous at it can create an entry door for bacteria. If it happens. In the beginning of the tattoo healing please contact your artist.

  • When the plastic is removed, wash your tattoo in slightly warm water and unscented soap.

  • Let your tattoo air dry. You can gently pat it dry with a clean paper towel. Never use a towel.

  • Let your tattoo breathe for 24h without applying cream.

  • After waiting 24h you can start applying small amounts of unscented cream (brands like Aveeno or Lubraderm are ok). Apply as necessary, as long as you don’t put big amounts of cream as it will keep it from breathing.

  • Keep your tattoo clean and dry . Refrain from heavy sweating for the next 10 days following your tattoo appointment. Or until there is no visible scabs( could be 3 or 14 days it really depends on the style of tattoo and your skin)

  • Refrain from swimming until there is no more scabs on your tattoo. Wait 3 weeks after tattoo appointment to swim in chlorine.

  • Refrain from sun exposure or tanning machines for 3-4 weeks after your appointment. Make sure to ALWAYS put 50+ SPF sunscreen on your tattoos. Sun exposure will make your tattoos age faster.

  • Always keep you skin hydrated as it will make your tattoos appear darker.
